About Me

My background as a venture capitalist and rabbi allows me to see the startup world through a unique lense. In additional to classical deal sourcing, due dilligence, and investing, I am also a personality searcher. My passion lies in uncovering what fuels motivation, sparks ingenious concepts, and invigorates organizations during challenging times.

My focus is around finding and supporting the best early stage tech startups. I have worked at Thunder.vc, Maccabee Ventures, F50 Ventures, and am currently leading alternative investments at the Bassman Family Office. If you are a founder or VC investor, I would love to meet you.

I was born in Israel, grew up in Baltimore and Minneapolis, but am also a Dutch national. I went to St. Louis Park Public High School, followed by 2 gap-years at Yeshivat Kerem B’Yavneh in Israel to study Talmudic law. I  graduated from Yeshiva University with a BA in mathematical-economics and psychology, with a minor in finance.

I also have Rabbinical Ordination (ordained rabbi) from Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) and served as rabbinical-intern for the Young Israel of Plainview, NY, as well as Head Gabbai of Shenk Shul in Washington Heights, NY.

My hobbies are reading and walking, but also sailing and skiing when I get a chance. My favorite TV shows are The Office, Suits, and The 100.
